inspiration
This collection is intended as a commentary on the over-sexualization of young women. It is inspired by classic memento mori paintings. The garments themselves are of a classic shape but twisted to make the viewer slightly uncomfortable.
I also developed two prints for the collection based on a common theme of memento mori : rotten fruit and dried flowers.
